96 degrees and you want me to do what?
Tuesdays are hills days meaning no matter what is happening on Tuesday, at 6:00 p.m. I head out and run the hills of Lake Zurich. It's 5 miles of amazing strength and endurance training which is going to help both physically and mentally for the marathon. However, today it was 96 degrees out when we ran. I legit thought I wasn't going to make it home after mile 3. The good news is this is why we run together as a group. We push through, encourage each other and talk about all the delicious ice cream we are going to get on the way home. Ps: I really did drive through DQ on the way home to get a mini blizzard. Heck, I deserve it.
After my run today I finally had a chance to plug in my awesome new running watch that I got almost 2 months ago (WHOOPS). It shows all the elevation climbs, pacing, calories burned ... everything. It's amazing and worth every penny!
